iPod freezes after sync - it's not just me

Here’s something Apple should pay attention to on its own discussion forums:

ipod freezes after sync …

My ipod ALWAYS freezes after I sync it and try to play a podcast. A reset fixes it, but what a bother! If I try to play a podcast, it freezes halfway into the next screen.

Respondents are seeing essentially the same behavior as me.  Latest version of the firmware (and even a recent update to iTunes), and it just happened to me this morning!
